The company states that offering such productivity services can help them serve corporate customers. This is extremely beneficial, given the fact that Zoom targets companies rather than individuals.

The major competition for Zoom comes from established rivals like Google and Microsoft. Microsoft with Office 356 and Google with its Office produces bundles that already offer functionalities like email and calendar systems. Therefore, Zoom needs to expand its offerings in order to compete with these products.
Zoom continually implements new improvements such as unlimited 24-hour calls and smart display support. Moreover, the app already integrates with Dropbox and Asana. Along with video conferencing features, the company also offers cloud phone service ’Zoom Phone’ and conference room products called ‘Zoom Rooms’.
The platform rose in popularity during the worldwide health crisis. Currently, it has nearly 500 million installs on the Google Play Store. Its stock price increased more than 500% as the Covid-19 crisis forced schools, offices, and social events to go virtual.
