The year 2020 had its own share of good and bad due to Covid-19 outbreak when most of the times people had to stay indoors. But whatever little one could manage to travel has been collected by Google Maps.
The latest feature added to the Google Maps Timeline Update settings is “Trends”. With the help of this upgrade users can now look back at their past travels without being scared of privacy infringement.
Sunder Pichai, CEO Google, makes another attempt to provide users with a host of data that enumerate their vacation hotspots with a cover image on the Timeline. Users can click on a particular place and know how they reached, in how much time and stoppages.
The feature is readily available to all those who have kept their Location history on. However, Google can still collect information through one’s Web and App activity.
Many have confessed that ‘Google is God’ and its omnipotence cannot be ruled out. It is both refreshing and rejuvenating to get a recap of past journeys.
