Microsoft Corporation is all set to launch a new Voice Recognition feature. This functionality will enable Windows users to interact with apps on their computer systems by using their voice. The voice launcher will be available in various languages like English, French, Portuguese, Spanish, German, Italian, Japanese, and Chinese.
The new voice launcher by Microsoft Corporation will power the search box
Users can launch it by using the Narrator shortcut of Windows i.e. ‘Win+H’. The feature also comes with ‘Auto punctuation’, which individuals can enable or disable as needed.
Like other voice-based apps, Microsoft will also collect users’ information for improving the algorithms. Microsoft stated that if the users permit using their voice data, then the company’s employees and vendors will collect some of the user’s voice clips. The collected speech samples will then be analyzed to improve the accuracy of the algorithms. This feature is not enabled by default, and users can opt-out of the experience anytime. The feature is currently under testing process and will be available to all the users of Windows 10 editions after the October 2021 update.
Until now, the easiest way to control Microsoft Windows 10 was by using a keyboard, mouse, and a new UI responding to screen touch.
