Meet “Reah Keem”: LG’s First AI Addition for a Variety of B2B Applications

At the CES 2021, LG presented a Robot and created buzz among the audience. This human presenter was dressed in a “pink hooded sweatshirt” that had a “Stay Punk Forever” phrase printed on it.

Reah Keem is LG’s first “ultraviolet disseminating robot”. Since 2020 scared us with the outbreak of Novel Coronavirus, many initiatives for sanitization and maintenance of personal hygiene were suggested. And so, this cute Robot has been designed to help people disinfect their surroundings effectively.

“LG’s new robot is expected to enable a new standard of hygiene by helping to disinfect high-touch, high-traffic areas. Because of its autonomous design, the robot will be able to move easily around tables, chairs and other furniture, generally irradiating a room’s touchable surfaces in 15 to 30 minutes, disinfecting multiple areas on a single battery charge,” LG’s press release stated.

LG Electronics offers this AI enabled product bearing in mind an increasing customer demand. Therefore, it is easy to operate, the robot can be infused into regular cleaning schedules and saves expenditure on hiring extra staff. 

And as the press release confidently notes,” Staff will be able to monitor progress via remote updates to smartphones or tablets. Employee exposure to UV rays will be minimized through a built-in safety lock activated by human motion detection sensors, pressing of an emergency stop button or via the mobile application.”  

Post Covid-19, Technological advancements seem to have taken an altogether different course of action that sound more empathetic and cognitive in nature.
