Spotify is on its way to provide its users with features similar to Instagram stories. This feature initially originated on Instagram, which allowed its users to upload slide shows and short videos with their followers. The 24-hour-disappearing-story-feature gained massive popularity and was soon introduced on Facebook, Youtube as well as Linkedin. WhatsApp and Twitter also copied this feature and renamed it as Status and Fleet respectively. Now Spotify is in its testing phase to offer the same in its platform.
Spotify striving to increase its user experience with story-like feature
In its editorial playlist, the famous music app is now testing the story-like feature in an effort to enhance its user experience. Users can look up at “Christmas hits” on their app and see the latest stories. Users can see short clip reels in the playlist from artists such as Kelly Clarkson, Meghan Trainor, Jennifer Lopez, and Pentatonix.
The latest feature will allow artists to update their story on Spotify
Just like Instagram stories, Spotify is testing this disappearing feature and will allow artists to upload their stories seamlessly. The new tool could even pave way for singers to promote their albums and singles. The future of Spotify stories will lie in the feedback it receives in the coming weeks. The disappearing-story feature will definitely garner a lot of praise and excitement amidst this Christmas season.
