HoloLens 2 Development Edition Launched In Australia-Supports Augmented Reality

HoloLens 2 Development Edition is now accessible to developers in Australia, as announced by Microsoft. The Edition contains services as well as hardware to support the design of interactive projects and AR (Augmented Reality) content. Furthermore, the bundle costs $5,599 and comprises of US$500 in Azure credits and a HoloLens 2 device. It also includes licenses for Pixyz plugins and Unity Pro (for 3 months). The price comes to NZ$6,199 in New Zealand. 

Post the initial launch in the US market, the Augmented Reality kit was made available in other markets such as New Zealand and Australia 

Apart from Australia, the Edition also arrived in the United Kingdom, Japan, Canada, New Zealand, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Ireland, and France. The bundle was announced first during the Build conference in May 2019. The device features 4GB RAM and a custom-built holographic processing unit. It also boasts of 64GB of storage and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 850 Compute Platform. The bundle will enable developers to render content (3D holographic) and build interactive experiences. So it will be instrumental in aiding mixed reality developers who create applications. 

Since its entry into the market, HoloLens has emerged as one of the few names in the AR and Virtual Reality (VR) space to directly focus on enterprise users.
