In October’s ‘Search On’ event, Google announced that it would be releasing the new update to it’s AR. While previously, the tech giant enabled users to see the 3D model of various animals, it will now update the technology for cars. Users will now be able to see more than 250 car models in 3D in Google search using augmented reality.

The new AR update by the top search engine is a boon for many as it will enable users to see the cars with intricate details without going to the showroom, all within the comforts of their home.
Rajan Patel, VP of Engineering at Google, stated that Android users in the United States can experience the 3D content that is streamed in the Cloud. They can view the supported car models in 360 degree-angled-representation and with different cinematic backgrounds using Augmented reality. In addition to changing the color, users can rotate, zoom in, and check the elaborate details from inside and out. Some of the car models available for this feature are Corvette, Porsche, and 2020 Audi R8.
