Desktop Version of WhatsApp to Soon See the Audio and Video feature

The WhatsApp in mobile devices already has the video and audio calling feature. This is one of the main reasons for its popularity as a messaging app across millions of people all over the world. 

However, the desktop version of WhatsApp did does not have these features. However, in December 2020, rumors have been heard that soon, the desktop version will also be having the same video and audio call feature.

When the audio and video feature will be available in the desktop version of WhatsApp, it will readily be strong competition for other video calling apps like Zoom, Google Meet, etc. It may also get more popular during the times like today where the online environment work and studies being more preferred due to the ongoing pandemic. But the only drawback that will exist with the desktop version will be that people will be needing to make an account on WhatsApp, unlike other apps that don’t require you to sign in to be able to join the meeting via these apps. 

Guillermo Tomoyose tweeted recently that this feature has been seen in Windows 10. 

However, information regarding when these features will be available in the Facebook-owned app for all users has yet not been officially released. But many users around the world have tweeted that they are now able to use these features in the desktop version of WhatsApp. People have been awaiting these features in the desktop version and it’s only a while when the users will be using them all over the world. The only wait is now for the official statement to be released by the officials.
