Apple cars have caught the attention of many individuals in the past few years. The tech giant had scheduled it’s expected arrival of Apple self-driving car to 2023. However rumor has it that the Apple Electric Car Project featuring self-driving technology may prepone it’s launch to 2021.
Scheduled to launch between 2023 and 2025, the self-driving car may roll out two years earlier
As per Economic News Daily, a Taiwanese manufacturer will partner with Apple for the mass production of the electric vehicle’s prominent components. This production may commence in the second quarter of 2021. Some reports also suggest that the company is planning to work with TSMC for the car’s chips. Moreover, according to yet other reports, the tech giant may test a plethora of car’s movable prototypes on the roads of California.
Apple received its first permit for the testing of self-driving cars three years ago. Several sources, including Ming-chi Kuo (a notable analyst), had previously said that the company will release the said car between 2023 and 2025. With the latest rumors of this plan being preponed, Apple enthusiasts are eagerly waiting for the truth behind it since such news do not materialize in the Automotive Industry.
